Movement:
Multiple linear actuators provide smooth, accurate movements of the AMTI
forceplates. The
operator can specify the waveforms to control the actuators which may be
moved individually or in any combination.
Translation: Movement in all directions of the horizontal plane.
• ±5” (13cm) from center, for a maximum of 10” (25cm) in the
left-right and forward-backward directions. • Maximum velocity:
100 cm/sec (acceleration: >1g).
Rotation: Rotation of the AMTI
forceplates in the vertical plane. • ±10 degrees from center, either
toes up or down, for a maximum of 20 degrees. • Maximum velocity: 100
deg/sec.
Forceplate movements and data
acquisition can be triggered manually, by weight detected on the platform,
or by an external synch pulse. A synch-out pulse is also available to
synchronize external devices.
Software:
The user programmable operating system provides maximum flexibility in
designing research protocols as the user can specify:
• General
Test Parameters
- Trial Duration
- Center of Gravity Cursor Display
• Test Trigger
- Mouse Click
- Weight on Forceplate
- External Sync Pulse
Movement Profiles
- Sway-Referenced
- Ramp
- External Input to Individual Motors
- Waveform
- Mathematical functions
- Look-up tables
Data from the AMTI forceplates and motor
positions can be exported to a delimited text file.
